President William Ruto is set to further intensify his tour of the Mt Kenya region with a packed schedule of project inaugurations in Nyeri. Starting the day in Mukurweini, the President is expected to launch the Ichamara-Rutune road and commission the Kaigonji water project. This will be followed by the unveiling of water projects in Tetu and Othaya.

The highlight of the day's events will be the opening of the Nyeri bus park and stage, aimed at easing congestion and creating a more efficient and user-friendly transport environment.

During his visit to Kiambu County on Saturday, President Ruto commissioned the Githurai Water Supply Project and the new Githurai Market. The ambitious water project is expected to provide a significant daily water supply of 5,000 cubic meters to benefit approximately 500,000 residents in areas such as Ruiru, Githurai, Mwihoko, and Kahawa.

In addition to the water supply project, Ruto also inaugurated several road upgrade projects, which include the Marua-State Lodge, Ruthagati-Mahigaini, Chieni-Hiriga-Kiamariga, and Ndundu-ini-Kwa wambui-Karandi roads. These developments align with Ruto's vision of investing in infrastructure to boost Kenya's economic growth, enhance connectivity, and facilitate access to various economic opportunities for the citizens.

The President's tour also saw him host a gathering of leaders for an interdenominational church service at Sagana state lodge on Sunday, underscoring the significance of unity and collaboration in the development and transformation of the country.

"Roads are Kenya's economic growth engines. They expand the connection of people to economic opportunities and link producers to consumers," President Ruto emphasized during the events. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to continuous investment in infrastructure development as a key strategy to drive and sustain the country's transformation.

As President Ruto's intensive tour of the Mt Kenya region continues, it demonstrates the government's commitment to advancing crucial projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens and boosting the nation's economic growth and prosperity.
