Big names missing at Raila 'bombshell' rally in Kamukunji

A number of big names within the Azimio la Umoja coalition party missed opposition leader Raila Odinga Kamukunji rally on Monday.

Raila who had been in South Africa said he will be dropping a 'bombshell' at the Kamukunji rally.

Upon his arrival at JKIA, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, and Former Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa received him.

However, some of Raila's close allies missed the rally, starting with ODM deputy leader Hassan Joho who has been out of the country since December last year.

ODM national chairman John Mbadi,  former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli were also missing.

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanaga was also a no-show as she was attending a Governor's Lands, Housing and Development Committee consultative meeting.

Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir who has in the past few weeks meet President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua also missed the rally.

Governor James Orengo(Siaya), Simba Arat (Kisii), Anyang' Nyong'o(Kisumu) and former Kitui governor Charity Ngilu also skipped the rally.

Kanu chairman Gideon Moi and Jubilee party vice chair David Murathe were also missing.

Minority Whip Junet Mohamed was also not at the rally.

All key Jubilee MPs also skipped the meeting hours after they had been hosted by President William Ruto at State House.

They include EALA MP Kanini Kega, nominated MP Sabina Chege, Irene Njoki (Bahati), Zachary Kwenya Thuku ( Kinangop), Shadrach Mwiti ( South Imenti), Mark Mwenje ( Embakasi West), Amos Mwago ( Starehe), Dan Karitho ( Igembe Central), Stanley Muthama ( Lamu West) and Joseph Githuku (Lamu Senator).
