Renowned singer Wahu Kagwi has candidly shared that she has gained almost 30 kilograms since the arrival of her third child. However, she remains unfazed by body shamers, prioritizing her newborn's care over her weight loss journey.
During the launch of Talanta Hela at State House, Wahu expressed her perspective, stating, "People are different. Some gain weight, and some don't. I have gained almost 30 kgs, but I am content with it. The most important thing is to love yourself. I am nearly 90 kgs. Embrace every phase of yourself."
Wahu emphasized the significance of ignoring negativity and the opinions of others, saying, "People will always have an opinion about your life, so just ignore it. I am elated to have three children, especially considering doctors told me I couldn't have any more kids. I am too happy to allow any negativity into my life."
Previously, Wahu had shared her struggles with infertility and miscarriages, leading her to believe that becoming a mother of three might not be possible. However, she conveyed a message of hope and encouragement to those still waiting for the blessing of a child.
She reflected, "I remember the night I posted this...I was alone in my thoughts...Feb 22 - 2022...I was trying to let go of the dream of being a mum of 3. I'd had 2 miscarriages in the last couple of years, and that had left my heart so broken. The night I wrote this post, I was in a position of gratitude, as I prepared to close the doors on my dream of carrying again."
However, Wahu's prayers were answered, and she expressed her gratitude for the surprise pregnancy, acknowledging God's timing and His ability to bring beauty to every situation.
"I'm not sure if I was already pregnant here or if I conceived after (it's a big blur to me!). All I know...God! He makes all things beautiful and complete in His time. God gave me Shiru...not because I deserve her...not because I'm so good...just because... I can't explain how much joy this baby has brought to me!! And to all of us in our home. I pray again, for anyone out there, asking God for a baby...may He hear your prayer. But this time, God, I'm okay!" Wahu concluded, emphasizing that miracles can happen regardless of age or circumstances.
