Three-year-old Baby Ethan on Friday, May 26, landed a fully funded scholarship after meeting Former Kasarani Member of Parliament Mercy Wanjiku.
In a statement, musician Karangu Muraya revealed that the former legislator offered to sponsor the brilliant kid after visiting them at their home in Murang'a County.
Muraya indicated that the child's parents would choose a school of their choice where the three-year-old will be enrolled
"It's now official and confirmed that Baby Ethan will get his full scholarship in the school of their choice which is funded by my blessed sister Mercy Wanjiku Gakuya. May Jehovah enlarge your territories mheshimiwa (Honourable)," he stated.
he same was confirmed by the former lawmaker who stated that the parents would have the prerogative to decide whether they wanted him to study in a public, private or international school.
"Ethan's parents will tell us whether they want him to study under CBC or go to an international school," she stated.
Wanjiku explained that Ethan needed to be mentored and allowed to experience life as other kids adding that she considered him a member of their family.
"As a mother, I want to say that with CBC, it will take 14 years for this child to grow up. It is up to well-wishers to ensure that we give this baby the care he needs just like any other child.
"Ethan now has another mother too. You (Ethan's parents) can tell me whenever he wants to come and visit in Nairobi," he stated.
The three-year-old was also gifted with a bicycle during the Friday meeting.
Baby Ethan went viral for his mastery in naming prominent leaders in the country and the positions they hold including newly elected politicians in the 2022 polls.
As part of his newfound fame, the boy from Murang'a County was hosted by a number of media houses and leaders.
He wishes to attend the prestigious Harvard University in the future.
