Former Citizen TV presenter Willis Raburu has announced that he has secured a new job in Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja's office. During an interview on Phil Director's podcast, Raburu briefly mentioned his role in the governor's office and shared his future plans.

Referring to himself as a strategist and consultant, Raburu indicated that he would be involved in various projects benefiting the governor and other companies. While he expressed excitement about this new endeavor, he also mentioned considering other options, including a potential return to the screen, acknowledging the growth of the digital space.

Although specific details about his role were not revealed during the interview, a close source disclosed that Raburu would be serving as Sakaja's Communications Director.

During the podcast, Raburu also opened up about the challenging times he faced when his body weight became the subject of ridicule and criticism. He shared how negative comments took a toll on his mental and emotional well-being, especially when even industry friends joined in body shaming.

The hurtful comments, often vulgar and ruthless, deeply affected Raburu, leading him to stop reading them altogether for the sake of his mental health. He recounted instances when derogatory remarks from individuals, including a radio presenter, left him feeling deeply affected.

Raburu confronted the radio presenter, expressing his disappointment and highlighting the importance of supporting one another rather than finding amusement in someone else's pain.

With his new role in Governor Sakaja's office and a focus on prioritizing his well-being, Raburu is ready to embark on this new chapter in his career and continue making a positive impact in the media industry.
