The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) released the university and TVET placement results for 2023 KCSE students on Tuesday, May 21.

According to the announcement by CEO Agnes Wahome, a total of 134,743 students have been placed in public universities to pursue various degree programs. Additionally, over 18,000 students were allocated slots in private universities for degree courses.

The report highlighted a trend where more male students who sat for the 2023 national examinations applied for university degree courses, while more female students opted for degree programs at TVET institutions.

"85 percent of 2023 KCSE candidates with C+ and above made applications. Of these, 76.2 percent chose Degree courses, while the remaining 11,991 candidates opted for Diploma programs," Wahome stated. "The Bachelor of Education program attracted the highest number of applicants. Male applicants continued to dominate placements in Degree programs, a trend observed since the inception of the central placement system."

How to Check Placement Results

Students can check their placement results by logging into the KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.net.

To log in, students will need their KCSE Index Number, the year they sat for the KCSE, and their password. Once logged in, students will see the details of the institutions and courses where they have been placed on the dashboard.

There are no charges for checking the results on the portal. Students only need an internet connection, either via data bundles or Wi-Fi.

"KUCCPS congratulates all the candidates whose placement results have been released today. Log in to students.kuccps.net to check the details of your university and college placement," KUCCPS announced.
