In a surprising turn of events, Brian Mwenda asserted on Tuesday that he is associated with global law firms, including one in the United States.

During an interview on Radio Jambo, Mwenda disclosed that he operates as a legal consultant, providing his services to five international law firms.

In addition to the United States, Mwenda revealed that one of the law firms is located in Europe, while the remaining three are situated on the African continent, specifically in Tanzania, Ghana, and Nigeria.

Despite his announcement, Mwenda did not disclose the specific names of the law firms for which he consults.

As a legal consultant, he explained that his responsibilities include representing clients in court and conducting legal activities on their behalf.

"I am a legal consultant. I have three African law firms that I am consulting for. There is another one in Europe and another in the US," he confirmed.

"I have been assisting people to the best of my abilities while upholding the Constitution. As a legal consultant, you go to court, offer counsel, and provide legal expertise, but there are limitations to it."

When questioned about his academic qualifications, Mwenda stated that he would address the matter once the Directorate of Criminal Investigations concludes its investigations and the court delivers its judgment.

Additionally, he expressed his intention to enter the realm of politics in the future, with aspirations to run for an elective position in the 2027 General Election.

Mwenda also noted that he has garnered support from various politicians, including former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and other government officials.

Currently, Mwenda faces charges of identity theft and falsifying documents. He entered a plea of not guilty when he appeared before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina and was released on Ksh200,000 cash bail.

The case is scheduled for a hearing on November 7.
