In a significant turn of events, the prime suspect linked to the murder of Eric Maigo, the Finance Director of Nairobi Hospital, has confessed to the crime during a court hearing.

Before Justice Kaanyi Kimondo, Anne Adhiambo made an unexpected plea of guilty to the murder charge, a mere few weeks after the prosecution had asserted her mental fitness and capacity to stand trial.

Pending the upcoming case mention scheduled for November 8, Anne Adhiambo will be remanded at the Lang'ata Women's Prison.

The judge, in a gesture of fairness, extended her time to consult with her legal counsel and fully comprehend the implications of her confession, saying, "I am giving you more time so that you can consult your lawyer and get an understanding of what you have told the court."
