Nominated MP Sabina Chege is boldly declaring her aspirations to become Kenya's first female President. During an interview with media personality Willis Raburu, she expressed her firm belief that she will one day occupy the highest political office in the country.

"I pray that I will be the first female President of Kenya, and I pray to God that that day will come. I can tell you about women and leadership. When a woman is in a position, she is a mother; she can take care of everybody," Chege confidently declared.

The vocal politician also took a moment to compare male and female leaders, noting that sometimes men can be abrasive and high-handed, while women often bring a different, more nurturing approach to leadership.

Sabina Chege's political journey began in 2013 when she was elected as the Woman Representative for Murang'a County, a role she held until the previous year. Her political affiliations have shifted over time, including declaring interest in becoming Deputy President William Ruto's running mate before aligning herself with Opposition leader Raila Odinga's camp during the last elections.

In the midst of internal party power struggles, Chege was nominated as the acting party leader by a splinter group within the Jubilee Party. She has taken this position with humility and aims to strengthen the party's structures and ensure its longevity and viability, similar to what has been achieved by Raila Odinga's ODM party.
