Azimio leaders, led by principal Raila Odinga, came together at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi's Upper Hill area to honor Kenyans who lost their lives during anti-government protests. The event also saw the presence of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former governors Mwangi wa Iria and Wycliffe Oparanya, along with other opposition lawmakers.

During the gathering, a 20-minute video was played, capturing the intensity and brutality of the demonstrations. Viewer discretion was advised due to the graphic content displayed in the video, which showed police officers allegedly firing live bullets at protesters. The names of those who were reportedly killed or injured during the protests were displayed, and interviews with victims, including minors, were shown, revealing horrifying accounts of the events.

The video also included clips of officers clobbering protestors and destroying properties, further emphasizing the alleged excessive force used by the police against the opposition's supporters during the demonstrations.

National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi assured the victims that justice would be served, regardless of how long it takes. However, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki refuted the opposition's claims, denying that police officers have been using excessive force against protesters during the anti-government protests.

The gathering served as a solemn reminder of the human cost and impact of the ongoing political turmoil in the country.
