Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has once again commented on her dress code months after it sparked online debate.
The governor who was speaking to Citizen TV no Monday night said the dress which she wore in the particular photo had no problem; rather it was the angle from which the photo had been taken.
Ndeti said she has a taste for good things adding that the suit in question had been bought from Germany.
“When you look back I am a good dresser and also I don’t dress cheap. I have taste, I like good things and I don’t wear cheap things. By the way that suit is very expensive, it is from Germany only that I lost a little weight…hii kazi imefanya nikonde kidogo,” she said.
She further noted that her dress code is always determined by her environment, adding that how she dresses when dealing with citizens on the ground is always different.
“Ukinikuta huko mashinani utashangaa, unavaa rubber shoes, unavaa biker na kitenge na unaingia ground hata kitambaa unafunga, sio saa yote ati nikuwe…you know..” she said.
Kenyans in November last year had called out the governor for 'dressing poorly' while addressing her county residents during her birthday.
Twitter users had on Tuesday called her out for the way she was dressed.
Some joked that she had employed the tailor who was sacked by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The DP was the tail of memes over his dress during campaigns and shortly after the elections.
