EALA MP-elect Winnie Odinga is currently trending at number one on Twitter.
She was a topic of discussion on Twitter for the better part of Tuesday morning. Some netizens questioned why she did not attend President William Ruto's meeting at State House, Nairobi.
Ruto was meeting EALA MPs-elect ahead of their swearing-in on December 21 in Arusha, Tanzania.
Images shared by State House Kenya showed all EALA MPs-elect were present except Winnie.
Winnie Odinga, alongside eight others, were elected to EALA last month by the National Assembly.
She is yet to comment on the matter.
On the Azimio camp, former Kieni MP Kanini Kega, Mombasa Businessman Suleiman Shabal and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka's son Kennedy Musyoka were present.
All EALA MPs elected from the Kenya Kwanza side were present, they include; Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, former nominated MP David Sankok, former Nandi Woman Rep Zipporah Kering, Youth Leader Mwangi Maina, and Iman Falhada.
During the State House meeting, the President asked them to focus on trade and investment in the region.
"When we talk about trade and investment, there are no political parties; do your best for our country and economy."
Ruto said East Africa holds immense economic potential that partner nations are yet to maximize.
"The economic expansion of the Community is in the best interest of all nations and citizens of East Africa."
