Gospel singer Lilian Munyali, popularly known as Size 8, recently shared insights into her marriage with DJ Mo, recounting a challenging time when she contemplated divorce and even consulted a lawyer.
During a candid conversation on Raych and her husband's show "Love in the Wild," Size 8 disclosed the moment of despair she experienced, leading her to consider ending her marriage.
"I reached a point where I felt hopeless. I saw no way out, and I think depression started kicking in. So, I wasn't thinking clearly. I didn't see a solution. That's when I decided to call a divorce lawyer and told them I wanted to divorce and take the children with me. I instructed them to start preparing the paperwork," Size 8 revealed.
DJ Mo, on his part, shared his reaction upon learning about Size 8's decision to consult a divorce lawyer. He explained that he found out about it through a WhatsApp message and was taken aback, unsure of what he had done to warrant such a response from his wife.
"I found out about the lawyer through a WhatsApp message. She texted me, saying, 'I've gone to see a lawyer, and I've drafted this and that.' I responded, 'Okay, we will talk about it.' I was left wondering what I had done wrong," DJ Mo revealed, questioning himself about his actions.
Size 8 elaborated on what ultimately prevented her from proceeding with the divorce, attributing her change of heart to advice from her mother-in-law and a church retreat.
"Talking to my mother-in-law, she told me, 'You're very angry. Don't rush.' Additionally, there was a church retreat. So, I decided to give my marriage one more chance and see if he was willing to work on it," Size 8 explained.
She also highlighted the common issue where men might not realize their mistakes, responding to DJ Mo's admission of not understanding what he had done wrong.
"Men don't always know their mistakes. Even now, ask a man what his faults are, and he won't know what he's being accused of. I was considering leaving Mo for many things," Size 8 added, emphasizing the challenges they faced in their marriage.
