Known for his charismatic on-screen presence and ability to connect with audiences, Raburu is a versatile presenter who is also a skilled entertainer. His youthful appeal is expected to contribute significantly to TV47's audience engagement and ratings.
Raburu's move to TV47 comes after his 13-year tenure at Citizen TV, making him a valuable addition to the TV station's roster. TV47 has been actively investing in top-tier talent from other media outlets, such as KTN News and Radio Maisha, as it seeks to compete with established mainstream media channels.
During his time at Citizen TV, Raburu served as a presenter, digital and communication consultant, and influencer. He gained prominence for hosting the popular TV show "10 over 10" on Citizen TV and the radio show "Mid Morning" on Hot 96.
Born in Nairobi in 1989, Raburu attended St. Mary's School in Nairobi before pursuing a Communication degree at Moi University.
Starting as a news reporter at Citizen TV, Raburu swiftly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a 1pm news anchor and later a prime-time news presenter.
Notably, he transitioned to Hot 96, where he hosted the "Mid Morning" show. In 2020, he took on the role of hosting the highly successful "10 Over 10" show, which quickly became a favorite among Kenyan audiences.
Outside of his media career, Raburu has been involved in developing marketing and communication strategies for various brands. He also wields influence as a social media personality, boasting nearly 1 million followers across various platforms.
In July 2023, Raburu expanded his horizons by assuming the role of Communications Director for Nairobi Governor Sakaja, where he's responsible for managing press relations and cultivating relationships with media figures and influencers.
As of the time of this publication, it remains uncertain whether Raburu will continue his responsibilities at the county while concurrently hosting his new show on TV47.
