Award-winning actress Catherine Kamau alias Kate Actress says she is obsessed with watching reality shows although it is something she would never consider for her career.
In a video on her TikTok, the mother of two said she is used to following scripts adding that she is not an interesting person.
She said she is currently enjoying watching the real housewives of Nairobi and that she loves all the personalities on the show.
"I'm obsessed with the franchise but as a viewer. I'm not an interesting person. Mimi nafuatanga script. But I think Kenya is after Dubai, I love every personality on that show, I think we're killing it," she said.
The Real Housewives of Nairobi follows five influential and successful women as they navigate their lavish lifestyles, relationships, and careers in Nairobi, Kenya.
The reality show premiered on Showmax last week on Thursday with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
Susan Kaitanny who is among the cast, said before the cast was confirmed, they had to prove they don't fake their lifestyles.
"You have to prove that your lifestyle is legit before they pick you for the reality show. You can't be faking it," she said.
She said the show is not about how much money the women have but how bold they bring out the 'savage' part of them.
"It equalizes all of us. It is about how savage you are and how bold you bring it out. Your personality as a woman," she said.
Christoffersen said she joined the reality series to showcase the beauty of our country.
"I received a phone call from the producer, Carol Ngunjiri, asking for a meeting. And of course, I was curious about what this meeting was about.
When she told me it was about The Real Housewives of Nairobi, I laughed so hard at first because, first of all, I’m nobody’s wife and I’ve never been a housewife."
Vera said she felt like most people think they know her and that her life is an open book.
