The Judiciary of Kenya has restored its e-filing and cause list systems, following a temporary disruption that began on 11th July 2025. In an official statement issued Sunday evening, the Judiciary confirmed that services have resumed and are now fully operational.
“Following the system downtime notice issued on the 11th July 2025, we are glad to inform you that the services on the e-filing and cause list portal have been restored,” the statement read.
The digital platforms—crucial for managing court filings and accessing case schedules—had been temporarily inaccessible, causing delays and disruptions for legal practitioners and litigants across the country.
Users are now advised to log in through the Judiciary’s official portals:

While the cause of the downtime was not disclosed, the Judiciary apologised for the inconvenience and thanked users for their patience and continued support.
The e-filing system, introduced as part of Kenya’s digital justice reforms, has been instrumental in streamlining judicial processes and reducing physical paperwork in courts.
Legal professionals welcomed the update, noting the importance of reliable digital access in sustaining efficiency in court operations.
More updates are expected if further system upgrades or maintenance are scheduled in the future.
