Fresh insights into the brutal death of Human Resource Manager Willis Ayieko have surfaced after his brother shared harrowing details of how they found his body. Ayieko’s body was discovered on Wednesday, October 23, several days after he went missing following his attendance at a burial in North Gem, Siaya County.

His car, a Ford Ranger, was found abandoned a day earlier in Sabatia, Vihiga County, raising more questions about his disappearance. Ayieko’s brother revealed the shocking state in which they found him, explaining that much of his clothing was missing and his body was severely mutilated, suggesting a targeted attack rather than a simple robbery.

“He was cut. Eyes were gouged out, ears were cut, nose was cut, the mouth was cut,” his brother shared, describing the horrific scene. He dismissed speculation that Ayieko’s murder was a robbery gone wrong, indicating instead that there may have been a vendetta against him.

Ayieko’s friends mentioned that he had left the burial site alone, despite their plan to travel in a convoy, a decision that tragically led to his untimely death. His grieving family is now pleading for anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing those responsible to justice.

CCTV footage shows two suspects abandoning Ayieko’s vehicle at a petrol station, and authorities believe the pair are connected to the crime. Investigations have revealed that the suspects disabled the vehicle’s dashcam on the same day Ayieko went missing, likely to conceal their identities. They also attempted to mislead petrol station attendants by pretending the car had mechanical issues before fleeing.

Ayieko’s body has been transferred to Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death as the investigation continues.
