In the Mathare area of Kajiado North, a 35-year-old man has been apprehended after he allegedly killed his three-week-old baby.

Ngong’ Police Station officers took the man into custody following a report from his wife, who recounted the chilling details leading up to the incident.

According to the distraught wife, the man covered both the mouth and nose of the infant, depriving the baby of airflow for several minutes, resulting in the tragic death. Despite catching him in the act, the mother was unable to intervene.

The woman disclosed that recent disagreements between them might have influenced the husband's actions, shedding light on their troubled relationship.

Neighbors confirmed the turbulent atmosphere in the household, noting ongoing conflicts between the couple. However, they expressed shock at the extent of the tragedy.

The baby's body was transferred to a nearby mortuary pending an autopsy report to aid in further investigations.

In another harrowing incident in the Munyaka area of Nyandarua County, residents were left stunned as a man killed his estranged wife and child near a police station.

Reports indicate that the husband and wife were living separately, with the man tracing them to their new location and brutally murdering them.

Neighbors recounted a history of disputes between the couple, leading to the woman leaving her marital home to live independently.

Tragically, the man took his own life after the heinous act.
