George Wajackoyah, the leader of the Roots Party, has alleged that there is a concerted effort to compel former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga to join Kenya Kwanza. Wajackoyah made these statements on Thursday at the DCI headquarters in Kiambu Road, where Njenga had voluntarily presented himself.

According to Wajackoyah, there is a clear agenda to wrest leadership of the Mount Kenya region through any means necessary. He firmly asserted that Maina Njenga will not be swayed to cross over to Kenya Kwanza and renounce the Azimio Coalition.

"Njenga has made it clear that he would rather go to court or even face death rather than join Kenya Kwanza," stated Wajackoyah, emphasizing Njenga's unwavering stance.

However, Wajackoyah refrained from disclosing the identity of the individuals attempting to coerce Njenga into switching allegiances. He condemned the politically motivated accusations directed at Njenga, vowing that those responsible for such actions will face consequences.

"To those involved in these disgraceful acts, your days are numbered," declared Wajackoyah, denouncing the perpetrators.

Njenga had voluntarily presented himself at the DCI offices in response to instructions from the Nakuru County Directorate of Criminal Investigation. He was required to address allegations of being in possession of two firearms and 90 rolls of cannabis (bhang).
