Details of Ksh 20M Range Rover Sport Raila Cruised With in South Africa

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was on Saturday, January 21, captured in a Range Rover Sport Supercharged Dynamic during his tour in South Africa. 

According to videos shared online, Raila arrived at the African Union Development Agency- New Partnership for Africa's Development (AUDA-NEPAD), in preparation for the Dakar Financing Summit, using the 2019 model. 

The vehicle exudes a style of class and elegance from its outward appearance. 

Features

With a sportier design cue and a powerful stance, the vehicle is undoubtedly built for impact. The vehicle consists of basic features such as an acoustic laminated windscreen, autonomous emergency braking, active high beam control and auto climate control with dual temperature zones. 

Advanced features include an adjustable steering column, electric power steering, 19-inch alloy wheels, blind spot monitoring and adaptive surface response.

The Supercharged features a 518-horsepower 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine capacity. Consisting of 386 Kilowatts of engine power, the vehicle travels at a maximum speed of 225 Kilometres per hour. 

Aside from performance, the vehicle consists of safety features such as anti-lock braking, central locking, power door locking system, night rearview mirror, adjustable seats, keyless entry system, tyre pressure monitor and vehicle stability control system. 

Others include a centrally mounted fuel tank, engine check warning, engine immobilizer and a crash sensor system. 

Raila's Trip

Raila has since engaged in several consultative meetings with various South African leaders including Lindiwe Sisulu, the Minister of Tourism and Nardos Bekele-Thomas, CEO of NEPAD Agency. 

The former premier also visited the Nelson Mandela Foundation where he studied and hailed Madiba's legacy for his mark on the African heritage. In addition, Raila met with President Cyril Ramaphosa at his private residence in Johannesburg. 

The former premier is expected back in the country on Monday, January 23, and is set to hold a rally at the Kamukunji Grounds
