Kenyan YouTuber turned rapper Diana Marua, also known as Diana B, has made history by becoming the first female Kenyan artist and content creator to receive the prestigious Golden Plaque from YouTube.
This accolade comes after she reached 1 million subscribers on the streaming platform.
Ms. Marua shared her joy upon achieving this milestone, thanking her fans and followers for their unwavering support.
She is the first Kenyan content creator to reach this significant achievement.

Marua joined the streaming platform in June 2019 but became serious about creating content in 2020.
“I opened this channel in July 2019, I became serious about creating content in 2020 (During Covid). We hit 1 Million Subscribers on February 17th, 2024. It’s taken 5 years of hard work, commitment, and resilience. It has taken an Entire Nation to get this far. To everyone who watches and supports our content, this Golden Button is our WIN,” Marua added.
