In a surprising revelation, veteran Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, confessed to a rather unusual prayer he made concerning his children.

During a recent interview posted by 'Goldmyne' TV on Instagram, the beloved movie star disclosed that when he welcomed his first child in 1991, he prayed fervently to God for the baby not to resemble him.

Mr. Ibu candidly admitted that he was content and grateful for the birth of his child but harbored a desire for the baby to inherit the looks of its mother instead. His reasoning behind this peculiar prayer stemmed from his own self-assessment, acknowledging that he considered himself unattractive.

In his own words, "I know I am not good-looking. I am very truthful to myself, I know that I’m not good-looking, so I do not want any of my children to take after me in that aspect."

Meanwhile, news of Mr. Ibu's health struggles surfaced when his family shared a video last October, showing the iconic comedian hospitalized. In the video, Mr. Ibu appealed for financial assistance for his medical bills, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from his fans.

Tragically, Mr. Ibu passed away at Evercare Hospital in Nigeria on a Saturday, reportedly while in a coma. His health condition had prompted discussions about potentially drastic medical measures, including the possibility of amputation.

Despite his health challenges, Mr. Ibu's legacy remains intact, particularly with his iconic performance in the Nigerian comedy "Mr. Ibu," which cemented his status as a beloved figure in the Nigerian film industry.
