In a heartening display of unity, Kenyans from diverse backgrounds, along with influential politicians, joined forces to raise over Sh1 million in support of Peter, widely recognized as Miracle Baby, a former member of Sailors.
The funds raised are intended to cover the extensive medical expenses incurred as Miracle Baby confronts a severe health condition that has kept him hospitalized for the past two weeks.
Despite his family's commendable contribution of Sh200,000, Miracle Baby's hospital bill had surged to an overwhelming Sh1 million, prompting a collective effort from compassionate Kenyans and the timely intervention of Kikuyu artists to alleviate this financial burden.
Karangu Wa Muraya, a popular Kikuyu artist, took to his Facebook page, providing a live update directly from the hospital where Miracle Baby is undergoing treatment. The live session drew an impressive audience of 12,000 viewers, with numerous well-wishers expressing their hopes for Peter's swift recovery.
Miracle Baby, grappling with health challenges since 2018, underwent surgery due to complications in his lower abdomen, affecting his intestines. Despite these physical challenges, Miracle Baby managed to convey his heartfelt gratitude to the generous Kenyans who contributed towards his medical expenses during the live session.
His baby mama, Carol Katrue, shed light on Miracle Baby's health journey, revealing that the surgery successfully addressed complications in his lower abdomen, including burst intestines that required immediate medical attention.
Currently on the road to recovery in the hospital, Miracle Baby's journey received additional support during the live session, with prominent politicians such as CS Moses Kuria and Dennis Itumbi contributing extra funds to the cause.
As Miracle Baby continues his healing process, further medical attention is on the horizon, including a return to the theatre for a procedure to reposition his intestines. In a public statement on January 19, Carol Katrue expressed profound gratitude for the successful surgery and the overwhelming outpouring of support from well-wishers during this challenging period.
