Taking to Instagram stories, Maribe expressed frustration over the unnecessary dragging of Sam Ogina into the drama and clarified that they have never dated. She urged people to leave her friends alone and reiterated that rumors linking her romantically to both Itumbi and Ogina are unfounded.

The speculation surrounding Maribe's relationship status heightened when she introduced Itumbi as her father's son-in-law in an Instagram story back in January. However, Maribe clarified that the introduction was merely a gesture of familial connection and did not indicate a romantic relationship.

Additionally, comedian Eric Omondi previously stated that he met Jacque when she was already in a relationship with Ogina. Omondi mentioned Ogina, sparking rumors and speculation about their alleged romantic involvement. Ongoing disputes over paternity arose when Omondi requested a DNA test after Maribe informed him of her pregnancy, but he alleged that she refused his request.
