President William Ruto is set to travel to Dubai to participate in the prestigious World Government Summit (WGS), scheduled for Monday, February 12.

Ruto's presence has been requested to deliver a concise 10-minute speech focusing on Government Acceleration and Transformation during the event.

As per the official itinerary released by the Summit's organizers, Ruto's address is slated to take place at the 1.0 Plenary Hall between 10:30 and 10:40 am on Tuesday, February 13.

This year's summit revolves around the theme "Shaping Future Governments," attracting participation from various governments, international organizers, and leaders, all converging to discuss strategies for international cooperation and the identification of innovative solutions for future challenges.

The WGS anticipates that the discussions and deliberations during the summit will serve to inspire and empower the next generation of governments worldwide.

The summit commenced on Sunday, February 11, with an inaugural session led by Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Fahad AlTurki, Director-General Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund. Mohamed AlHussaini, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Financial Affairs, also actively participated in the opening session.

Monday marked the official beginning of the event, with Mohammad AlGergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE and Chairman of the World Governments Summit, delivering the opening remarks on the theme of Government Acceleration and Transformation.

Additionally, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who had been in Qatar previously, is scheduled to address the Summit on Monday.

The Summit boasts a diverse lineup of over 200 speakers who will deliver their insights and perspectives throughout the duration of the event.

Accompanied by a delegation from Kenya, President William Ruto is expected to engage in Ministerial Meetings and Roundtables as part of the summit's activities.
