In a passionate speech on the House floor, Shollei cited Gachagua’s silence during a rally in Githurai, where chants of "Ruto Must Go" and "Ruto is a One-Term President" were heard. “Gachagua never denounced these statements. What this amounts to is that he is guilty of treason under Section 40 of the Penal Code,” Shollei charged.
