Rift Valley Leaders Rally to Support Gift Moi's Medical Treatment with KSh 6.1m Fundraiser

In a display of solidarity and compassion, Rift Valley leaders unite in a fundraising effort to provide crucial support for the medical treatment of Kalya Gift Moi, grandson of the late President Daniel Arap Moi.

The fundraising event, convened on Tuesday, April 23, was spearheaded by Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi. The gathering aimed to generate funds to facilitate specialized medical care for 14-year-old Gift Moi, who is battling cancer and scheduled to undergo treatment in India.

Sudi, overseeing the proceedings, expressed heartfelt sentiments, emphasizing the importance of collective action in alleviating the burden of medical expenses. "Presiding over fundraiser to aid medical treatment of Kalya Gift Moi. Gift is a 14-year-old grandson to the late former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. He is battling cancer and is set to undergo treatment in India. May God's healing be his portion," Sudi stated.

The event witnessed the participation of esteemed leaders, including Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui, who joined forces to mobilize resources for Gift Moi's treatment. Within a mere five-minute session, the leaders successfully raised an impressive sum of KSh 6.15 million, underscoring the depth of compassion and solidarity within the Rift Valley community.
