Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga delivers a poignant message to Joel Rabuku, the son of the late Chief of Defence Forces Francis Ogolla, urging patience and cooperation during the investigation into the tragic military plane crash that claimed 10 lives.

Addressing mourners at the ongoing burial ceremony in Siaya County, Odinga stresses the importance of allowing the government to conduct thorough investigations, emphasizing the need for transparency in the wake of General Ogolla's passing.

"We seek the truth. Too often, we have mourned the loss of leaders in our region under suspicious circumstances. We demand answers. So, young man, do not rush us. Allow the investigators to uncover the truth," Odinga asserts, echoing the sentiments of many leaders from the region.

Odinga extends former President Uhuru Kenyatta's condolences to the bereaved family, noting Kenyatta's absence due to international commitments.

General Ogolla tragically lost his life in a military plane crash in Elgeyo-Marakwet County, alongside nine other KDF officials, on Thursday, April 18.

During the memorial service, Joel Rabuku encourages mourners to celebrate his father's life rather than mourn his passing. He reflects on his father's preparedness for the inevitable and urges attendees to embrace joy, reflecting General Ogolla's spirit of positivity.

"I see sadness among you, but my father would have wanted joy. He prepared us for this day, and we lean on our faith to find solace," Rabuku shares, emphasizing his father's unwavering faith as a source of strength.

General Ogolla is laid to rest at his family home in Mor, Alego Usonga, Siaya County, fulfilling his wish for a timely burial within three days. In accordance with his wishes, he is laid to rest without a coffin, as family, friends, and dignitaries bid farewell to a respected leader and beloved family member.
