The family of the late Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Francis Omondi Ogolla announced on Friday, April 19, that preparations for his burial were underway, adhering to his expressed wish.

Ogolla's father, Joel Oketch, revealed that his son had stipulated his desire for a swift burial within 72 hours in the event of his untimely demise.

Scheduled for April 21, 2024, the burial ceremony will take place at his residence in Mor, Alego, Siaya County, honouring Ogolla's wishes. Notably, Ogolla had built a home just two kilometers away from the family residence in Siaya.

In addition to the burial, plans are in place to celebrate his father's centennial birthday on the following Saturday in Siaya, with arrangements including attending a church service and hosting an event at home.
