Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has voiced his concerns about the areas where he believes President William Ruto has fallen short during his initial 14 months in office.

Reviewing Ruto's inaugural State of the Nation address, Ahmednasir commended the President's delivery, emphasizing its powerful presentation, articulate language, and persuasive style. He acknowledged the substantial challenges that Ruto's government had encountered over the past year and appreciated their proactive approach to addressing the nation's economic troubles.

However, Ahmednasir underscored that President Ruto had yet to effectively combat corruption, a pressing issue that remained unaddressed throughout the past 13 months.

In his statement on his official handle, Ahmednasir also drew attention to two other crucial areas that, in his opinion, needed immediate attention: the consolidation of good governance within the government and the reformation of essential institutions, such as the judiciary and the police.

Ahmednasir emphasized the urgency of dealing with these issues, describing them as imperative concerns that had not received due attention from the President's administration.

President Ruto, during his State of the Nation address, reaffirmed his commitment to eliminating corruption within his government. He emphasized that corruption had no place in his administration and pledged to handle corruption cases with decisiveness, urgency, and finality. In his view, corruption, wastage, inefficiency, and negligence posed significant threats to the nation's transformation agenda.

"I want to assure the people of Kenya that misconduct and corruption cases will be addressed conclusively," President Ruto declared in his speech.
