The proprietor of Flair By Betty salon, former K24 TV anchor Betty Kyalo, faces the distressing prospect of losing her establishment as her landlord moves forward with auction proceedings due to rent arrears.

Keysian Auctioneers, tasked with overseeing the process, issued a notice on Monday morning, announcing the scheduled auction of the salon on Wednesday, April 17, at 11:00 am.

The auctioneer attributed the sale to unpaid rent, setting the stage for a confrontation between the renowned beauty entrepreneur and her landlord.

More than 20 items, including dismantled wall shelves, massage beds, chandeliers, and various salon equipment, were listed for auction.

A representative from Keysian Auctioneers confirmed the auction arrangements, with detailed information available at the company's offices in CPF House, Nairobi CBD.

Interested bidders are required to attend the auction prepared with cash for immediate payment upon successful bids. Viewing of the auction items is available by prior arrangement on any day of the week.

Kyalo inaugurated Flair By Betty salon in 2020 along Lenana Road, hosting a lavish event graced by dignitaries such as former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's wife, Idah.

During the launch, Kyalo pledged to provide top-notch salon services, including hairstyling, nail care, and barber services, in a luxurious environment adorned with classy chandeliers and comfortable furnishings.

The establishment marked Kyalo's transition from her previous business endeavors, including her association with Posh Palace, signaling her commitment to the beauty industry's upscale market.
