In a candid revelation, content creator Murugi Munyi shared on her Instagram page that she has decided to quit alcohol following a harrowing near-death experience that profoundly impacted her.

The mother of three disclosed that the life-altering incident occurred just over a week ago, prompting her to make the decision to give up alcohol. Despite the seriousness of her revelation, some of her followers responded with skepticism, using memes and humorous comments.

Munyi addressed the doubt, stating, “For some reason, you people don’t believe me, but let me tell you guys… what I went through last week, even the word alcohol is making me want to throw up… I don’t think you people understand how I was feeling last week Saturday.” She urged her audience to respect her decision and refrain from making light of it.

The content creator reassured her fans that time would be the ultimate judge of her sincerity, pledging not to break her commitment. "Wait for it to be three months, 6 months, a year, and you will know that I was serious… That’s how bad it was,” she emphasized.

In a recent interview with Lynn Ngugi, Munyi shared the challenges her family faced with addiction, particularly her sister, Dora Obwaka, also known as Jesus Girl, who has been struggling with alcoholism for nearly a decade. She discussed her father's battles with alcoholism, expressing genuine empathy and a deep understanding of the difficulties individuals face when dealing with addiction.

“The true weight of addiction is something you can’t fully comprehend until it touches someone close to you. Addiction is an insurmountable challenge. Presently, my sister is in rehab, a positive step forward. We know her whereabouts, and she is receiving the necessary care,” she stated.
