Safaricom, Kenya's leading mobile service provider, has announced the temporary closure of all its shops within Nairobi County to facilitate essential internal processes. This move is part of the company's efforts to conduct these internal activities efficiently.

The only exception to this closure is the Safaricom shop at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). During this closure period, customers are encouraged to use alternative channels, such as the AI-powered virtual assistant, Zuri.

Safaricom assures its customers that normal services will resume on Saturday, October 7, 2023, and offers further assistance through Zuri, customer care, or visiting the nearest Safaricom dealer.

Safaricom shops offer a wide range of services, including customer care support, SIM replacements, SIM swaps, bill payments, line registration, and the sale of phones, accessories, and data services.

In related news, Safaricom PLC has appointed Linda Mesa Wambani as the acting Company Secretary, effective from October 1, 2023, following the departure of the former secretary, Kathryne Maundu, who served in the role for seven years.
