The Thika West Police Station is currently investigating the tragic death of 19-year-old university student, Faith Musembi, whose body was discovered in Pilot Estate, Thika, Kiambu County. Faith's father, Boniface Musembi, made the grim discovery after receiving ransom demands via his daughter's phone.
Faced with demands for ransom, Faith's family complied and sent Ksh27,000. However, the perpetrator refused to release her and demanded an additional Ksh33,000. Despite reporting the matter to the Thika West Police Station, the family felt their concerns were dismissed, prompting them to escalate the issue to the university authorities.
Upon visiting Faith's residence in Pilot Estate, her father was devastated to find her lifeless body. Police arrived shortly after and commenced investigations into the tragic incident.
Messages exchanged between Faith's father and the perpetrator shed light on the harrowing ordeal, revealing the extent of the family's desperate attempts to secure Faith's release.
A post-mortem examination conducted at General Kago Funeral Home revealed that Faith succumbed to excessive bleeding. Shockingly, the examination suggested that Faith was pregnant at the time of her death, leading her cousin, Dominic Makau, to demand swift justice and a thorough investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The circumstances surrounding Faith Musembi's death have sparked outrage and calls for justice as her family seeks answers and closure in the wake of this devastating loss.
