Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has announced that he has identified the perfect location to build a home for his future wife, even as his search for the right partner continues.

In a recent Instagram post, Salasya shared that while he is still uncertain about who his first wife will be, he has already selected a spot for her future home.

“I have identified the place I am going to build a legacy home for my first wife, though I’m not yet sure who she will be,” Salasya stated.

The MP has been vocal about his desire to find a life partner and has actively been searching for his better half.

Salasya’s Public Pursuit of Love:

Salasya has made headlines for his bold attempts to win over prominent figures. Recently, he publicly expressed his admiration for Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe, though his advances were met with a firm rejection. On August 9, 2024, Monroe responded to his compliments with a hint of sarcasm, suggesting that his affection might be influenced by substances from Busia County.

“Naona bangi za Busia zilimuonyesha mimi, (I see bhang from Busia showed him me),” Huddah quipped on her Instagram stories.

Salasya had earlier praised Huddah for her support of Generation Z’s protests against the government, commending her for standing in solidarity with the youth-led demonstrations.

Challenges in Finding ‘The One’:

The MP’s search for love in Nairobi has not been easy. After expressing interest in content creator Azziad Nasenya in 2022 and more recently pursuing Huddah Monroe, Salasya has yet to find a match. He has turned down advances from some women, explaining that he is looking for a busy and submissive woman, a combination he finds hard to come by in the city.

Salasya explained that he wants a wife who is willing to live in the village, rather than someone who prefers the city life in Nairobi. He shared that he had been advised to consider marrying a teacher or a banker, as their busy schedules would help prevent stress in the relationship.

“Shida ya wife na hii ni lazima wasichana waelewe Biblia inasema submissive. It’s Biblical; it’s spiritual, you should be submissive,” Salasya emphasized.

He added, “It’s very difficult for me to marry because most women these days want to stay in Nairobi, but I want someone who can live in the village. Someone suggested I marry a teacher or a banker—someone who is busy and won’t bring me stress.”
