Boda boda rider, Gideon Cheruyiot, dismissed reports that he was in a relationship with Bomet Women Representative Linet Chepkorir alias Toto.
On Thursday, January 16, he maintained that he only helped campaign for Toto during the 2022 General Election.
Like other Kenyans, Cheruiyot revealed that he learned of Toto's engagement on social media on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, February 14.
He expressed happiness over the County MP's engagement and wished her well in life's new chapter.

"I offered to help her campaign, and we did not get to the level of getting into a relationship. I was just a volunteer who offered my motorcycle and fuel.
"Just like others, I was also not aware that she was engaged. I got the news on social media. I am happy because she has made a good step," the bodaboda rider stated.
Cheruyiot also explained that he had a cordial relationship with the legislator, adding that they talk over a wide range of issues from time to time.
Nonetheless, he asserted that he was still counting on the MP to help him better his life even as he thanked Kenyans for calling on Toto to offer him a job.
"I am just waiting for her to also help me to better my life just the way hers improved. I know we will not talk as often as we did because you also know that parliamentary work is demanding," he stated.
Toto got engaged to her fiance Godfrey Kimutai at a private event on Valentine's Day. The first-term lawmaker announced her engagement as she shared images of the event.
"And I finally said yes. You are one in a million. May God be with us on this journey. Happy valentine's day sweetheart, I love you," she announced.
Following her engagement, it was alleged that Toto had parted ways with the boda boda rider, given the close relationship the duo had before the 2022 August 9 elections.
