Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and his wife Priscilla are expecting their first child, the couple announced Thursday in a touching Instagram post that offered fans an intimate glimpse into the next chapter of their relationship.

In a serene maternity shoot shared online, Priscilla proudly displayed her baby bump while standing beside Jux. The pair posed in matching white tops and denim jeans, a simple look that stood in contrast to their recent high-profile wedding celebrations.

In one image, Jux rests his hand gently on Priscilla’s growing belly. In another, they hold up an ultrasound scan, beaming with pride and anticipation. The caption read simply: “MOM & DAD • BLESSED • GRATEFUL • THANKFUL.”

From Chance Encounter to Parenthood

Their journey to this moment has been swift but sincere. According to Jux, the pair met in early 2024 during a work trip to Rwanda. “We were staying in the same hotel,” he recalled in an earlier interview. “One introduction led to a long conversation, and it just felt right.”

Their connection was immediate. Friends say the couple bonded over shared values, humour, and mutual admiration for each other’s creative work. By July, Jux had cast Priscilla in one of his music videos, and the relationship became public soon after.

The couple’s wedding journey was celebrated in stages. In February 2025, they held an Islamic civil and Nikkah ceremony in Tanzania, where Priscilla was formally welcomed into Jux’s Muslim faith. “She embraced it fully,” Jux told Wasafi TV. “She was given an Islamic name and participated in all the rites.”

The celebrations continued in April and May with both traditional and white weddings, held in Tanzania and Nigeria respectively, drawing friends and stars from across the region.
