Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has candidly shared his reasons for avoiding relationships with virgins, a topic he addressed in a post on his Instagram on Sunday, September 29, 2024. The outspoken lawmaker revealed that he finds it burdensome to be involved in such a process, preferring to avoid it entirely.

Salasya, who has been publicly searching for his ideal partner, stated that if he discovered his partner was a virgin, he would allow her to seek another man to break her virginity before returning to him. He humorously added that men from rural areas, like himself, are more suited for such a task compared to men from the city, whom he considers weak in this regard.

“A type of woman I would never wish to meet in my life is a virgin. When I realize she is a virgin, I will allow her to go have another man to break her virginity and come back to me. I hate to labor to break a woman for another man. Though we village men are better at it than city men, who are weak in bed,” Salasya wrote.

Salasya's Search for Love

The lawmaker has faced challenges in his quest to find a life partner, particularly in Nairobi's dating scene. He made headlines for publicly pursuing socialite Huddah Monroe, but she did not reciprocate his interest. The interaction escalated into an online spat, with both parties exchanging insults.

Salasya also expressed his interest in content creator Azziad Nasenya in 2022, only to be turned down. Despite receiving attention from other women after these public rejections, the MP has remained selective, turning down several potential suitors.

He recently explained that his ideal wife would be busy and submissive, traits he has struggled to find in Nairobi. Salasya noted that Nairobi women tend to prefer city life, while he is seeking a wife who is willing to stay with him in the village.

"It's difficult for me to marry because women nowadays want to live in Nairobi, but I want someone who can stay in the village," he explained. Salasya added that he has been advised to marry a teacher or a banker, as their busy schedules would reduce potential stress in the relationship.

"Women should understand the Bible says you should be submissive. It’s spiritual and biblical," he added, emphasizing his traditional views on marriage
