The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced an extension for recruitment applications, now due by midnight tonight, October 8, 2024.

In a recent update on X, the commission confirmed that the deadline for applications had been pushed to Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at midnight.

“The Commission has extended the deadline for application for recruitment to 8th October 2024 at midnight,” the TSC stated. The initial cutoff was set for Monday, October 7, 2024.

The recruitment aims to fill a total of 46,000 teaching vacancies across various levels, including 6,000 positions for primary schools, 39,550 for junior secondary schools, and 450 for secondary schools.

“Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke, under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke,” the commission advised, emphasizing that applications must be completed by the new deadline.

Additionally, TSC cautioned potential applicants to be wary of fraudsters attempting to exploit the situation by charging fees for recruitment assistance, reiterating that the application process is entirely free.

The commission encouraged teachers to report any fraudulent activities they encounter during the application process. Such reports can be made at the nearest TSC office, via the commission's official telephone lines, or through email at dirstaffing@tsc.go.ke or info@tsc.go.ke. Concerns can also be reported to local police stations.
