Former Kakamega Governor, Wycliffe Oparanya, has addressed the circulating viral photos featuring him alongside a woman identified as Mary Biketi on various social media platforms.

In a Facebook video statement, Oparanya confirmed the authenticity of the photos but expressed confusion over their circulation.

"Those are indeed genuine photos. I'm puzzled as to why someone would bother spreading them around. It's unfortunate that these private moments were leaked to the press," he remarked.

While acknowledging the photos, Oparanya emphasized their decency and questioned the undue interest they seemed to generate among the public.

Simultaneously, he debunked rumors suggesting he had been hospitalized, asserting his wellbeing and dispelling any falsehoods that might cause distress to his family.

"I have a large family to look after, so those peddling fake news need to cease. I'm here, perfectly capable of speaking for myself without any issues. I've been in Mombasa for a few days, engaging with my community members," he clarified.

The focal point of the circulating images revolves around Oparanya's interactions with Mary Biketi, prompting the former governor to directly address the matter to clarify any misconceptions.
