Kenyan YouTuber and entrepreneur Gertrude Awino Njeri, popularly known as Miss Trudy, has addressed rumors surrounding her marriage to Ghanaian YouTuber Kobina Ackon, also known as Wode Maya. Speculation about their relationship being on the rocks began after Miss Trudy's recent interview with a popular Ghanaian content creator went viral, with many suggesting that the couple was heading for a divorce.

In the interview, Miss Trudy candidly discussed how she and Wode Maya struggle to spend time together due to their demanding schedules and frequent travel. Following the backlash and rumors, she released her own video to clarify her statements, asserting that her words were taken out of context.

"He asked me a couple of questions, and I answered truthfully. For example, he asked me, 'Do you and Wode Maya spend enough time together?' And I said no because that's the truth. We don't spend enough time together because he's always traveling... And I also end up traveling a lot," Trudy explained.

Addressing concerns about her mental health, Miss Trudy admitted that she has been struggling with the adjustment to her new life in Ghana, describing the challenges of moving from Nairobi to a new country with different food, culture, and weather. She emphasized that her life, like everyone else's, has its ups and downs.

Miss Trudy also defended Wode Maya against online critics who labeled him a narcissist and accused him of neglecting her. She refuted claims that he had abandoned her in Miami and dismissed criticisms regarding their wedding, which some fans compared unfavorably to his sister's lavish ceremony.

"I wouldn't say Maya is a narcissist. He's definitely not perfect, and neither am I. I just want you guys to be kind. We are two different people from different cultures, and we are learning from our mistakes. We are going to do better," she said.

Miss Trudy made it clear that their marriage is a work in progress, and they are committed to improving their relationship. She also expressed her desire for her honesty not to be used against her husband, stating that she felt compelled to make the video due to the harsh criticism Wode Maya was facing online.
