Renowned socialite Vera Sidika has announced her decision to take a break from social media platforms for health reasons. The mother of two conveyed this message to her followers through her Instagram stories, requesting their support and prayers as she navigates through health challenges.

“I'm unwell, remember me in your prayers,” Vera shared with her audience.

She went on to explain that her social media sabbatical would continue until she regains her health, stating, “I've been offline and will be staying off media and any other app for a bit. Until I feel better. All love.”

Vera Sidika, known for her presence in the public eye, has recently garnered attention, especially after her separation from musician Brown Mauzo in August 2023.

In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Brown Mauzo spoke about the challenges of co-parenting following a separation. Mauzo, a father of five children, including Princess Asia, Zulfa Brown, Hakeem Mauzo, Lareesa Brown, and Prince Ice Brown, expressed the difficulties of being absent during important family events.

“I had never anticipated to have kids grow without me around, but it keeps happening. I always want to raise my kids with their mother. I am not perfect, but when you get tired of each other, the separation happens. The kid will not be complete. Both parents are very important in the life of children,” Mauzo explained.

Addressing queries about child support, Mauzo revealed that some of his baby mamas have resisted financial contributions, despite his willingness to provide support.

“I wish I could do that, but I was trying those close to my baby mamas, like even involving the brother and the nanny, but they told me it was impossible. They put me away,” Mauzo shared.

Discussing the challenges faced by men in co-parenting scenarios, Mauzo emphasized the difficulty of maintaining relationships with baby mamas after breakups. He underscored the significance of allowing fathers to actively participate in their children’s lives, despite the complexities, especially when the child is young.

“Baby mamas, you expect them to be different until the relationship fails. That is when you will know they are the same. The greatest challenge is to raise kids in a broken marriage,” he added.
