Mugiithi artiste Samuel Muchoki, widely known as Samidoh, has sparked discussions about his potential future in politics. During a live session on Instagram with his baby mama, Senator Karen Nyamu, and prominent city tycoon Kelvin Shaban, the singer revealed his desire to enter the political arena, hinting at the possibility of running for a Member of Parliament (MP) seat in Ol Joro Orok, Nyandarua County.
During the Instagram live session, Samidoh was astonished by the massive number of fans who joined the live stream, with a total of 2611 viewers. Playfully considering the potential support he could garner, he exclaimed, "If they all decide to give me votes, I will definitely become an MP in Ol Joro Orok."
For this political aspiration, Samidoh would need to compete with Honorable Michael Muchira, the current holder of the MP seat in that constituency.
Karen Nyamu, seemingly amused by Samidoh's ambitions, playfully questioned whether the live stream's popularity was all he needed to venture into a political career.
During the interactive session, Samidoh also addressed the issue of critics consistently insulting him online. Responding with boldness, he questioned the motives of those who dedicate their time to spreading negativity and made a strong statement against the trolls.
Karen Nyamu, who herself has faced online trolling, echoed Samidoh's sentiments and emphasized her resilience in the face of criticism, stating that they are used to such negativity.
Samidoh's recent involvement in charitable initiatives in Nyandarua County through the "Guitar ya Samidoh" initiative has fueled speculation among some of his fans that he may be gearing up to enter politics.
With his musical success and popularity, Samidoh's potential entry into the political arena has certainly caught the attention and interest of many, leaving fans and observers curious about his future political journey.
