Why you may not have electricity or power this Sunday

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in several regions of the country, affecting Nairobi, Machakos, Bungoma, and Mombasa. These planned blackouts, scheduled for Sunday, are part of the utility company's ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure a reliable power supply.

Nairobi Interruptions:
Residents in Nairobi, particularly in areas such as Siaya Road, Siaya Close, Gatundu Road, Gatundu Crescent, Tinderet Avenue, Mandera Road, Dik Dik Gardens, Kenya High School, Gussi Avenue, Mandera Lane, Jacaranda Special School, Ring Road Kileleshwa, Kangundo Road, Kunguru Close, Tabere Crescent, Gichugu Road, and Laikipia Road, are advised to be prepared for a temporary service interruption from 9 am to 5 pm.

Mombasa Interruptions:
On Mombasa Road, businesses and residents in Alpha Centre, Ramtons, Steel Makers, Manchester Outfitters, Prime Cartons, Ocean Group, Kenbro, SAI Ceramics, Patmos, Laneeb Plastics, Chemical & Solvent, Nyoro Construction, Kenbelt, and neighboring customers will experience a power outage during the same time frame.

Machakos Interruptions:
In Machakos County, Daystar University and Aimi ma Lukenya County will be affected by the planned power interruptions, which will occur from 9 am to 5 pm.

Bungoma Interruptions:
Residents in parts of Bungoma County, including Wananchi, Lovington Estate, Molo, Kwa Dinah, St. Angela, and neighboring customers, should anticipate a blackout from 9 am to 3 pm.
