A fire incident occurred at the Nacico Co. Chambers Building in Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) on Monday afternoon, sparking a response from emergency services.
Initial reports indicated that the fire erupted at one of the shops within the building, situated near Imenti House. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries at the time of publication.
Firefighters, along with Nairobi County askaris, colloquially known as kanjos, swiftly arrived at the scene to combat the blaze and prevent further escalation.
To ensure the safety of the area, police, in collaboration with other relevant authorities, cordoned off the vicinity as efforts to extinguish the fire continued.
